Riga is so amazing and diverse. The feeling that you have escaped out of the city, you can get even without driving out of Riga. Take a kayak and explore three islands of Riga. Firstly go through the city canal, then enter the vast waters of the Daugava, and paddle into the amazing and peaceful Maza (Little) Daugava, where will appear some amazing spots. On your left side you will find the little water paradise - base of Riga Wake Park. High up behind it you will see Latvian Television building. But on your right side you will find Lucavsala Holiday Park, what is one of the favorite spots in Riga to chill out, have a picnic and spend active days in city center. Further you will head towards the slightly deserted and green Zakusala, where at the middle stands Television Tower. Then again by your right side, you will see the urban Kekava grill park with more than one graffiti and monument of defenders of Lucavsala. Paddling around Lucavsala, you will head inside Biekengravis canal, there you can observe the specific charm of Lucavsala garden houses and get further underneath the lively Mūkusala circle. Keep kayaking and you will pass our national library Gaismas Pils and the AB Dambis. From this side of Daugava you can enjoy the beautiful view of Old Town and then head back to Andrejsala or if you still have an energy, extend the route and take the trip through the Zunda canal before return to us.
