This is definately a breathtaking route. Enter the Daugava river and row to the Commercial Port of Riga. There you will see spectacular industrial cranes and giant cargo ships. Rowing past them in a small kayak, will make you feel extremely small. The harbor is always busy, work never stops there. At the parts of the day when the sun reflects on the metal surfaces of giant ships and cranes, you will get sense of some mysterious romance. Continue by paddling through Sarkandaugava to the Shipyard, where you will have the next surreal sight awaits with massive ships towed out on the dry docks, relentless bustle and endless sounds of work. After spectacular views of shipyard you will get into the waters of lake Kisezers. There the peace, sounds of the birds, greenery and soothing waves of the lake will take over. This is a great place for bright sunsets. The route ends at the Cabo Cafe, but if you desire, you can challenge yourself and row back all the way to Andrejosta.
