By paddling the Zunda canal route you will have a chance to explore two of Daugava's canals in one go. The Zunda canal begins at Agenskalns bay. At the beginning of this route, you will pass through the urban area of the Riga City canal, then cross Daugava river and head to AB Dambis, where you will experience quite different Riga - really peaceful and quite. Until the 1930s, several shipyards and boat repair spots were located on the shore of the Zunda canal. There you can still see those historic remains. After paddling around Kipsala, you will meet the Daugava river again. To return back to our base in Andrejosta, you may have a little extra challenge to fight some upstream waves.
